外国青年招致事業(JETプログラム)

地域レベルの国際交流、英語力・技術力の向上、スポーツの振興を図ることを目的に、「ALT(外国語指導助手)」と「CIR(国際交流員)」を任用しています。現在3名のALTがそれぞれ町内の各園・学校を訪問し、語学指導を行っています。

　また、CIRは通訳や他課からの翻訳の仕事のほか、教育委員会事業等にも参加しています。

I look forward to getting to know the people and places here better with time!

Hi there! My name is Caryn and I'm from Malaysia. Malaysia is best known for its delicious foods and our multiculturalism, constituting three major ethno-cultural groups: Malay, Chinese and Indian. I started to work as an ALT in Nishiizu-cho in April 2022, and I am still working on my Japanese. I wish all of you could be my Japanese teachers, and please don't be shy to say "Hi!" if you happen to see me somewhere in town!

Hello! My name is Cat and I'm from the United States. I was born and raised in New Jersey. New Jersey is nicknamed the "Garden State" because it is known for growing fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, corn, blueberries, and cranberries. I love trying new foods and I'm excited to eat new foods in Nishiizu that are hard to find back home. My other hobbies include drawing and cooking. I look forward to getting to know Nishiizu and the people who live here!
