Geography - Nishi-Izu Town is situated on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula which lies in the east-central part of Japan in Shizuoka Prefecture. The town is sandwiched between Suruga Bay on the west and the steep Amagi mountain chain to the east.

Weather - Nishi-Izu Town is quite warm and mild throughout a year, and is subject to an oceanic climate highly influenced by the Kuroshio (Japan Current). The annual average temperature is 16 degrees Celsius (60 degrees Fahrenheit).
